Melodies of the Danube

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and the largest city in the country, with a population of 432,801. Bratislava is located on the Danube River, on the Slovak border with Austria and Hungary, and relatively close to the Czech border. It is the most densely populated city in Central Europe and the only European state capital located almost on the border. The city is home to universities, a relatively large number of museums, as well as theaters and other cultural institutions (for example the famous Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra).

Vienna is the capital of Austria with a population of 1,897,491 inhabitants. It is the largest city as well as the political, cultural and economic center of the country, and an important economic and political center of the region. A very important economic factor for the city is tourism, as Vienna with its great wealth of works of art, monuments, museums is an attraction for many tourists. It also has a great variety in historical monuments of various emperors such as Maria Theresia, Francis Joseph I, Marie Antoinette, the wife of Francis Joseph, Sissy and others.

Wachau is an Austrian valley with a picturesque landscape formed by the Danube River. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in Lower Austria, located in the middle between the cities of Melk and Krems. It has a length of 36 kilometers and was already installed in prehistoric times. The architectural elegance of its ancient monasteries (Melk Abbey and Gottweig Abbey), castles and ruins combined with the urban architecture of its towns and villages are the dominant features of the valley.

Linz is the third largest city in Austria and the capital of the state of Upper Austria. It is located in the central center of Austria, about 30 km south of the Czech border, on both sides of the Danube, the longest river in the European Union. Linz is a beautiful city to visit. Passau is a city in the Federal Republic of Germany. It is located in the Land of Bavaria, on the border with Austria.
